New Year’s Eve Ideas: Thailand

If you are like me , you probably still don’t know where you’ll be spending New Year’s Eve. So, why not pack your bags and hop on one of the flights to Bangkok for example?

New Year’s Eve in Thailand is an imported celebration but, nevertheless, you won’t have problems finding a place to party. Especially if you stay in places like Bangkok or Phuket where you can find large communities of backpackers and ex-pats.

Since the real New Year in Thailand is celebrated in mid-April, you won’t find business closed on January 1 and you can be sure that the cheap hotels in Phuket are still rather cheap. Still, December and January do fall under the high travel season in Thailand so it’s advisable to book the accommodation in advance. You can easily find rooms for under $100 for two persons (4 nights).
